Eric St. Louise deltok på fylkesmønstringen i Bodø med sin egenkomponerte rap til ære for kameraten. Her forteller han historien bak.
My name is Eric St. Louise and I am from Cameroon, west Africa.
I did sign up for UKM so I could tell my story to others and also to touch people's hearts. Sometimes we find our selfs in a difficult situation, feeling like all is gone but not knowing some other people out there have it worst. I some how beleive that sharing my story can help some others who feel that they're in the most depressed situation feel relief. I know there are people out there going through more difficult situation than what I went through but at least my story did touched some few people's hearts.
It all started on a Sunday afternoon when me and a couple of friends where chilling in the neighborhood. It was a perfect and sunny day. Three of my friends left for the store to get some candy's while I stayed back with my best friend. After a couple of minutes a black BMW car drove slowly towards us, we didn't recognize the people in the car so we stood up and started walking slowly away from the car. All of a sudden the car stopped and a couple of strange guys came out of the car with long black suits and sun shades. My friend whispered to my ear, " do you know those people?" I replied "no". So we increased our steps while these guys also did. We started running cuz they were coming more closer and closer to us. While we were running they also started following us pretty fast. So we ran in the woods since that was the only place we could lose them from chasing us but they took out their guns and started firing towards us. I was kinda faster than him so one of the bullets unfortunately caught up with him from his back and came right through the front of his chest. He screamed out my name while I turned around in shock and watched him falling slowly to the ground. I reached out to help him and he was bleeding very much. I took off my jacket and tried to cover the spot were the blood was coming out from but he was bleeding very badly. I had blood all over my face, body while I was screaming, crying out for help and no one could hear us. I called the ambulance and they said they were on their way while my friend was dying. I watched him bleed to death in my own arms while the ambulance came an hour late. As I'm writing this story down, I'm filled with tears in my eyes. I wrote this song to tell him how much I miss him and also to any one out there who misses their special some one.
What doesn't kills us makes us stronger. I miss him so much and somethings in life we just have to accept the things we can't change.
Thank you
Eric St. Louise
